Steve has always had an interest science, research and writing. Now, with almost a decade of research experience, he is a laboratory technician and manager at Lau Lab at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. He has contributed to a wide breadth of projects in fields, such as: neurology, virology and tissue engineering. He has developed technical expertise in numerous experimental procedures involving cell culture, immunoassays, molecular cloning, and a host of other bench-top skills.
As a Science Education Program Advisor, Steve assists with STEM program development. Mr. Scahill is a firm believer in the need to devote care and attention into the mentoring of young scientists starting their careers.
